Emma Mead is a Notary Public and can assist you in a range of services.

An Australian Notary Public is a public officer, usually a practising solicitor, who has been appointed by a State or Territory Supreme Court to perform a range of functions.

You may have heard of a Justice of the Peace (JP) before. JPs provide similar services to Notaries but are not authorised to witness documents for use in other countries. Only Notaries have this exclusive right.

So what does a Notary Public actually do?

Emma can:

  • Verify documents for use in Australia and overseas countries
  • Witness signatures to contracts, powers of attorney, affidavits and statutory declarations, for use in Australia and overseas countries
  • Administer oaths for Australian and foreign documents

If you or someone you know needs assistance from a JP or Notary Public, contact Emma Mead. You can contact her on 1300 292 700 or email office@burkemeadlawyers.com.au. There are scheduled fees for these service, dependent on the documents to be notarised
