Management and Administration Support Team
Committed to sustaining a vibrant and professional workplace that attracts and retains high performing individuals.
Sheena brings almost 20 years experience in the banking industry to the management of Burke & Mead. Sheena has steered the firm through 6 years of consistent growth and is the engine that drives the firm ever forward.
Sheena ensures that our practice continues to grow and operate efficiently. Like all true finance geeks she gets very excited by numbers, spreadsheets and reports – but unlike the stereotype, she takes a very personal and hands on approach with the entire team. We think that she is literally one in a million for her ability to bring great warmth and humanity to, well… numbers.
As a mother of three and fierce and passionate player of netball, Sheena knows how to achieve a goal and have fun doing it. This makes her a sought after member of the team and critical to the success of our firm.
Process Improvement & Training Support Coordinator
Kathleen is an experienced Paralegal who has worked with Burke and Mead Lawyers since 2005. Over this time Kat has predominantly supported our Crime and Traffic Law solicitors and clients, but has also contributed to the growth and expansion of the firm.
These days, Kat not only applies the skills developed over those years to ensure quality preparation of our client’s matters, but she shares her expertise across the organisation to help ensure our clients obtain consistently high standards across our range of legal services.
With a broad range experience in Customer Service & Client Support roles in both the public and private sector, Venita is a perfect fit in our front of house Team.
Venita will be the first person you speak to if you call or visit our office and you will find her nothing but professional and efficient.
She has a strong focus on improving business practices with a view to enhance client experiences and has a genuine interest in people, making it easy to feel at ease and welcome when you are around her.
In her spare time she enjoys theatre, music and art but her real passion is about time with family and friends.
Communications and Marketing Intern
Eleanor is our Communications and Marketing Intern, but that’s just a fancy way of saying she likes to write blogs! She is a Communications graduate and in her Final year of law at the University of Newcastle.
She spends her time engaging with our online community each week via our legal blog and our numerous Social Media Pages talking all things law, without the legal jargon, about topics relevant to our everyday lives.
Administration Support Dude
Lucas has extensive experience in the legal services industry and the team relies on him for everything from transcription and file management to fixing that annoying glitch with their computer.
Lucas is our resident techno-geek and is an excellent researcher and passionate gamer.
